Two new white wines I've enjoyed lately are: Estancia Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. I first discovered this brand while having dinner at P.F. Changs. I had the Pinot Grigio and it was so nice with Chinese food. I usually gravitate towards Pinot anyway when drinking white but thought I'd give the Chardonnay a try when I came upon it at my local grocery. Matter of fact, I had a hard time finding the Pinot. Probably because the bottle looks nothing like the other. Note to other fellow wine snobs: the Pinot has a screw top. (gasp) Although I'm finding I'm less offended by this than I used to be.
I really like both of these. The Chardonnay isn't too "oaky" or buttery. Two traits I usually hate about that wine and why I shy away from them. I would recommend either of these. They were priced around $10-12 dollars per bottle. I think I got both on sale (yay!). Have you tried either of these? What white wines are your favorite?
