Dior Blue Label

Nail of the Day ~ Blue Label by Dior

This is my first Dior polish and so far I'm very impressed. Application went on smoothly without streaks. Dry time was pretty quick. I really love the tapered, round brush as well. It reminds me of the Sally Hansen Insta Dri polishes {some of my favs}. I don't know why every brand doesn't go to this style. Everyone has rounded cuticles, not square. Makes application so much easier and more neat.

The quality and bottle reminds me of Chanel polish, which I love. Both of these brands are on the pricey side for a nail polish but the quality outweighs that for me. I'll definitely be investing in more Dior. This color is a deep, navy blue cream. It can look a little black in natural lighting. I'm always on the hunt for a great dark blue without shimmer. This fits the bill.

OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!

Nail of the Day ~ Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! ~ OPI Germany Collection, 2012

Ding, ding, ding! We finally have a winner for the Germany Collection! As you know from my last post, I wasn't too successful with this collection haul. I only wanted two colors and one didn't work. But this was does!

Ok, so this color really isn't anything special and I'm sure we've all seen dupes somewhere along the line for it. However, it's a nice fall and winter deep shade. I'd call it a deep gray green. In natural light it can even look a little black. In flash photography or bright light, you can definitely pick up the deep green tone. This is my first dark polish for transitioning into fall and I'm very satisfied with this one.

For some reason, this particular bottle had a textured top that really shows up in the flash photo above. {my other did not} I actually kind of liked it. It was nice. Have you tried anything from this collection yet?

Behind The Door Organizing

So, I've had this behind the door/over the door organizer for a long time now. It used to house everything from sunglasses to maps to batteries. It was getting to the point where we hardly ever used it anymore. Basically housing things we weren't using but needed to toss out.

So after getting some inspiration ideas from Pinterest, I gave it a little makeover to help with a problem we had. Travel items. I don't know about you, but I can get quite the collection of mini travel sized items. I check the stash before I go to the store but sometimes end up with extra of what I don't need and forget what I do need before a trip. I decided to end that and use the behind the door storage for this problem. Whola, problem solved!

A closer look at what's in each pouch...

As you can see, I labeled each pouch with the name of the items in it. This way I can easily see what I need, grab it or make a list to get it. I hung this on the back of a spare bedroom that houses our luggage in that closet.  This room also serves as our staging room for packing, etc.

How do you store your travel items? Hope you found this helpful!

OPI My Very First Knockworst

Nail of the Day ~ My Very First Knockworst, OPI Germany Collection 2012

Underwhelmed is an understatement. How can I put this... I hate this color! Well, on me anyway. I like it just fine in the bottle. Heck, I liked it even more when I saw a swatch on another blogger. Matter of fact, that's what led me to buy this specific color. I looked at all the swatches for the new Germany Collection and only liked two. Go to Ulta. Buy said polishes. Paint and this is what I get. A color that doesn't show up on me and looks nothing like I thought even though the fellow blogger is pale like me and also has issues with nude polishes. Complete fail. I would so take it back but I'm not sure if Ulta takes polish returns. Let me know!
