Revlon Bubbly

I think this is a fairly new color for Revlon even though it doesn't have the "New" sticker on it. I started noticing this one several months back. I think I literally picked it up each time I saw it but put it back. I kept telling myself I didn't need another pink nail polish. Well this one was different enough that I finally gave in. Let me say I just love it! The name says it all - it's a Bubbly-bubble gum, Barbie pink cream. The only down side is that the formula wasn't great. I typically love Revlon polish formulas but this one seemed thick. I got a few streaks with the first coat but the second was better. I could have even done a third but it was time for bed. Maybe it's just my bottle? Anyway, it's a great color for you pink lovers out there and I'm glad I finally got it. Do you own this one?

Cover Girl Snow Storm

Thought I'd change it up a bit with the title of my nail polish posts. If you've followed me a while, then you know I typically post the actual polish name. I thought I'd start adding the brand as well. Let's face it, some of these names are crazy and might be confusing just seeing them on their own. Let me know what ya think. ;)

So this is the second of the two most recent Cover Girl polishes I picked up at Walmart. Like I mentioned in the last post, the display seemed to have some new shades. I was in the mood for lighter ones that day and this white caught my attention. Who doesn't love a good white polish now and then? BUT let's be honest, white can be super tricky and a pain to apply. I knew I loved the formula of these Cover Girl polishes so I was hoping I'd luck out with this one. I DID!  This is just a straight-up white cream. Can you believe this is with two coats?! And I didn't have to use any tricks like matte base coat in-between or anything like that. Nice right? So if you're looking for a good white formula, I highly recommend this one!

"sunlight" - ok not really. We've not seen the sun in days.

Cover Girl Forever Frosted

Nail of the Day ~ Forever Frosted by Cover Girl

Are you scratching your head about the name like I was? Yeah, it totally isn't frosted at all. It is pretty though and I'm so glad I tried it! On a whim {like most of my shopping} I picked this up at Walmart. I noticed the Cover Girl display looked like it had more colors than I've seen at most stores. I picked up two new ones and thought I'd try this one first. I'd describe it as nude pink cream. Really reminds me of Essie Ballet Slippers but a tad more white. Oh and this formula, totally blows Essie out of the water on pale shades. I got away with two coats and it applied great {like all the Cover Girl polishes}. If you're a lover of the paler nude/pink shades but hate the streaks, give this one a try!

LtoR: Cover Girl Forever Frosted, Essie Ballet Slippers, Revlon Colorstay Pale Cashmere, Wet n Wild Sugar Coat
I thought I'd compare Forever Frosted to some of my other similar shades. By far the Cover Girl has the best application and needs only two coats. Of course with any pale shade you can do three if you prefer. Like I mentioned, it's the closest to Ballet Slippers but a tad more white. I didn't care for the Revlon application or the paleness of the shade. The Wet n Wild is a pretty shade but the brush is WAY too big and made for sloppy application.
Do you have any of these shades? Which do you prefer? I'm always a sucker for a pale nude pink. ;)
